About This Opportunity

Role: Model Risk Management Intern

Location: Hybrid – Atlanta, GA

This position will be part of GreenSky's Model Risk Management team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct independent validations and reviews of financial models used in various business areas, such as credit, finance, capital markets, fraud, and compliance.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of model input data, assumptions, methodologies, and outputs.
• Craft model validation reports in accordance with MRM policy, guidelines and documentation template.
• Stay abreast of changing market conditions, regulatory environments, and evolving industry practice in modeling and model risk management.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Analytics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of mathematical and statistical theories, data analytics, and ability to understand business contexts.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, R, SQL, etc.
• Strong ability in verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in handling large and complex datasets using Python or similar programming languages
• Familiarity with AI/Gen AI concepts, passion for learning fast-evolving techniques, and ability to use, fine-tune, and test popular large language models
