Reports To: CEO & Director of Marketing
About Vail Media & Management
Vail Media & Management is a marketing and PR agency helping founder-led brands in the lifestyle, wellness, and fitness industries grow through powerful storytelling, strategy, and social media.
We’re a woman- and Black-owned company based in Houston, Texas, and we’re proud to be a part of a growing ecosystem of creative entrepreneurs. Our sister company, Other Kind Media, is a podcast agency supporting business-savvy creators and influencers in building platforms that last.
We’re a small but mighty team — and we’re growing fast.
About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and creative Social Media Intern or Coordinator to join our team part-time. This role is ideal for a college senior or graduate student with hands-on experience managing social media accounts, creating content, and editing short-form videos.
You’ll support two client accounts — a personal injury law firm and a sports performance center — and gain direct experience in social media strategy, content creation, analytics reporting, and digital storytelling.
This is a paid internship offering a monthly stipend, hands-on mentorship, and the opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and schedule social media content for two client accounts.
- Create engaging graphics, carousels, and stories using Canva.
- Edit high-quality short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) with attention to pacing, captions, and brand tone.
- Write compelling copy that aligns with each client’s brand voice and audience.
- Analyze monthly performance reports and synthesize insights into actionable ideas.
- Contribute fresh content ideas that support growth and engagement.
- Collaborate directly with the CEO and Director of Marketing to execute strategy and meet client goals.
- Stay up to date on social trends, sounds, and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently a college senior or graduate student majoring in marketing, communications, PR, digital media, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts — either personally, for a brand, or through prior internships.
- Proficiency in Canva and basic video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar).
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and consistent with deadlines.
- Coachable, proactive, and open to constructive feedback.
- A positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility — you follow through on commitments and take ownership of your work.
What You’ll Gain
- Direct mentorship from senior marketing professionals.
- Hands-on experience working with clients in sports performance and personal injury law.
- A portfolio of published content and campaign results.
- Real-world experience in analytics reporting, strategy, and creative execution.
- A launchpad for your marketing career — past interns have gone on to work as Marketing Managers, Social Media Leads, Video Editors, and PR and marketing professionals at companies like Athletes First, Truly Free Home, and top agencies nationwide.
