Regional Sales Manager

Regional Sales Manager North-East Construction

 

We are looking for a results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with strong value-based technical skills and previous experience in the construction and/or concrete markets.   The ideal individual will have the proven ability to grow developing markets and seize new opportunities. This function will report directly to the Area Sales Manager Building USA North. 

Territory includes Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

About the role

  • Drive growth of Dramix® steel fibers and Synmix® synthetic fibers by raising awareness among key stakeholders, including specifiers, contractors, ready-mix producers, and other industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain Bekaert’s position as the industry’s most technically proficient provider of fiber-reinforced concrete flooring solutions for industrial and commercial, including structural & nonstructural systems.
  • Identify, pursue, and manage strategic projects that align with growth objectives and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Deliver compelling presentations tailored to diverse audiences, showcasing the value proposition of fiber-reinforced concrete solutions.
  • Negotiate and close high-value sales agreements exceeding $1 million. 
  • Provide consultative approach recommendations supported by clear evidence and Bekaert’s industry expertise.
  • Monitor macro and micro market trends, competitive activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Advocate for new product innovations and contribute to developing strategies that expand market presence and specifications.
  • Engage with local and national construction industry organizations and participate in relevant events.

 

About You

Essential skills & competencies

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field in technical sales.
    • PE license is desirable but not required. 

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in the construction market, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Experience in Sales
  • Familiarity with industrial building codes and ACI norms.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management tools. 

 

Technical Expertise:

 

  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete design and related American norms, national standards, and recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and technical sales data to develop strategic solutions.
  • Ability to explain complex conceptual information in simple terms

 

Travel Requirements:

 

  • Willingness and ability to travel upwards of 50% within the territory and to some national meetings in various locations.
