Talent Acquisition Intern

As the Talent Acquisition Intern you will play a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition team in delivering exceptional recruiting support across our nationwide organization. This role offers hands-on experience in full-cycle recruitment, including requisition management, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and hiring process optimization. You will gain exposure to various aspects of talent acquisition while contributing to projects that support our multi-unit hiring goals and help us attract top talent to AoPS.

The Talent Acquisition Intern will:

  • Assist with day-to-day recruitment coordination activities including job posting distribution, applicant tracking system (ATS) management, candidate communications, and interview scheduling across multiple locations
  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle for high-volume hiring initiatives, particularly for part-time instructor positions across our academy campuses
  • Participate in intake meetings and stakeholder sessions to understand hiring priorities and translate insights into actionable recruiting plans
  • Help coordinate candidate experience touchpoints including interview preparation materials, candidate communications, and follow-up activities
  • Conduct initial resume screening and candidate research under the guidance of Talent Acquisition team members
  • Support the creation and maintenance of recruiting resources such as interview guides, job description templates, candidate assessment tools, and hiring manager toolkits
  • Help develop and track recruitment metrics and reporting using Excel, Google Sheets, and ATS platforms to monitor time-to-fill, candidate pipeline health, and source effectiveness
  • Assist with LinkedIn Recruiter searches, Boolean sourcing, and candidate outreach campaigns
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate information in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations

The ideal candidate has:

  • An undergraduate degree in progress in a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field, or recently graduated
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting or HR
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate scheduling across different time zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional phone and email etiquette
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems or LinkedIn is a plus but not required

This is a 40-hour per week paid internship with a pay rate of $30/hour. The internship will take place in summer 2026 and will be based at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
