Job Title: Procurement & Logistics Specialist                  

Status: Full Time

Location: Knoxville    

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Summary: The Procurement and Logistics Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and delivering parts and components needed for equipment installation, service, and repair across multiple branches. This role also manages vendor relationships, shipping logistics, warranty returns, and coordinates deliveries to job sites or technicians as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Research and select suppliers for standard and specialty elevator components
  • Issue purchase orders for parts, tools, and materials in alignment with project timelines
  • Track incoming shipments, manage warranty RMAs, and resolve delivery issues
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and delivery terms
  • Communicate shipment status and delivery confirmations to field and office teams
  • Track and manage company parts inventory and technician usage
  • Work with warehouse staff to support stock levels and logistics
  • Provide pricing support to sales teams and cost awareness to operations
  • Coordinate invoice approvals and reconcile purchasing documentation with finance
  • Ensure Jonas data is updated, and part status is accurately recorded
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or construction preferred

Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, scheduling, or materials preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.  

Language Ability:

Effectively and proficiently communicate in both oral and written form with employees, clients, vendors, and management. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Must have good grammar, voice, and diction.

Computer and Office Skills:

Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of office programs to include, but not limited to, email, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Personal Skills:

Interface with employees, clients, vendors, and management. Good time management skills, ability to prioritize duties, ability to multi-task, and a concentrated attention level. Regular and predictable attendance during office hours. Ability to get along with others.
