Assistant Administrator

Assistant Administrator  - Fund Services 

Role Overview

Purpose of Job

You will administer a client portfolio, under the supervision of a Senior Administrator and line Manager, providing accounting for our fund clients including Venture Capital, Private Equity, Fund-of-Funds, and Family Offices. You will translate knowledge learned from one client to another while providing fund administration, financial reporting, back-office solutions, and investor relations services to these firms.  You will demonstrate a clear understanding of the client's portfolio, including risk awareness, relationship management, and contractual and statutory obligations.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare accounting entries for investments and assist with fair value calculations.
  • Post journal entries and portfolio transactions in accounting software.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter end closing procedures.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution notices.
  • Reconcile cash transactions in client bank accounts.
  • Generate and maintain accurate filing of accounting documents and electronic records.
  • Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements and partner capital statements.
  • Manage client open items and create agendas for meetings with client to communicate needs.
  • Assists external auditors during year-end audits.
  • Provide support for the accounting team.
  • Interacts with clients on day-to-day matters as well as on ad-hoc queries.
  • Participates in regular technology and information reviews, identifies potential. changes and enhancements, and recommends alternatives for implementation.
  • Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviors.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.

Essential Requirements

  • College degree (accounting business, mathematics, or finance degrees preferred by not essential). Masters degree or CPA license is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate professionalism.
  • Proactive team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities, as well as meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office. Strong Excel expertise.
  • Able to translate and apply knowledge learned across clients and have excellent memory recall.
