Data Analyst

THE ROLE: DATA ANALYST

As a Data Analyst you will work closely with the Director of Analytics and Account Executives. This role will support clients and Account Executives through the creation and delivery of in-depth competitive reports and analyses It is important to ensure our clients hear from us first on new ads and advertisers in our elections. Smart Media Group is a right-of-center organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer client requests in conjunction with the Account Executive.
• Utilize Tableau as a data visualization tool to produce various types of recurring memos for executives.
• Conduct research concerning various politically related topics and groups especially spending across elections, advertisers, markets, and media across the country.
• Assist with the creation of presentations using a combination of Tableau, PowerPoint and other proprietary tools.
• Collaborate with the full data analytics team to identify trends in client feedback to enhance future deliverables.
• Help relay media buying information for clean and efficient consolidation in our proprietary database.
• Be proactive in QCing client spending to ensure all AdImpact tools are reflecting client data correctly.
• Engage in reconciling campaign accounts upon completion.

• Effective time management skills ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Enthusiasm to learn a variety of software products including Tableau.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year experience with Excel and/or SQL.
• Desire to learn advertising and work in politics.
• Preferred experience in Tableau or other data visualization tools.
