EV Charging & New Fuels Business Analyst Intern

Provide technical support through research, analysis, and reporting for the EV Charging and New Fuel Business Department. Conduct data validation activities as needed. Collaborate closely with the EV Charging and New Fuel Business and Retail Liquid Fuels teams to develop analyses and business solutions that sustain, enhance, and advance key profitability metrics as well as project implementation. A key focus area will be to drive EV charging and travel center profitability and ensure Wawa delivers a best-in-class experience for its customers.

 

Principal Duties:

Assist in the expansion of Wawa’s fuel offer to include high-speed diesel, associated travel center products, and electric vehicle charging.

Manage landlord communications necessary for EV charging installs and oversee contract management for EV charging to include filing, tracking, and renewals.

Build and update existing Excel analysis models, research input data, model scenarios, develop actionable output, summarize and present results and findings.

Perform benchmarking against peer companies and other industries. Identify best practices and new technologies used to improve fuel management at the store level and recommend the best course of action.

Aid in maintaining relationships with 3rd party EV charging partners, sharing responsibility for financial benefits and marketing initiatives.

Support in discovering and analyzing EV charging grant opportunities. Assist in the execution of grant applications for EV charging and alternative fuels as appropriate. Ensure ongoing reporting and operational requirements are met per grant requirements.

Assist with analyzing current IT capabilities, identifying gaps, and developing solutions to meet the business needs of the department.

Assist with documenting and maintaining all internal business processes. Support the development of ongoing process improvements through technical enhancement.

Coordinate procedures, plans and activities relating to new store design and equipment changes which enhance customer experience and equipment reliability.

Compile, prepare and communicate reports for all levels across the organization.

Assist with market share and conversion reporting process for all organizations for all fuels, to include establishing EV charging market share measure process.

Execute on plans to clean up and improve file directories, spreadsheets, and other documentation.

Assist with the research, design, and development of new data management technologies.

Contribute to developing and maintaining reporting and long-term market forecasts that support the corporate strategic plan. Assist in developing infrastructure to enable the achievement of the fuel vision and profit targets, including related product offers, processes, and procedures.

Develop documentation, research and analysis skills as part of a career development plan.

Assist with miscellaneous department needs to include, but not limited to, preparing for meetings and events, capturing meeting minutes and following up on customer, associate, and vendor communications and inquiries.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration or major in Business

Must maintain a valid driver’s license

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
