Position Summary 

 

As a Market Advisor Intern on our Feed team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in providing advisory services to the grain and/or livestock value chain within the agricultural industry. Under the guidance of experienced Advisors, you will learn to apply foundational knowledge in basis and cash feed markets to support client outreach and engagement efforts. This internship offers an opportunity to explore market analysis, client communications, and exposure to risk management strategies in a professional environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Assist with breakeven analysis and evaluation to support client decision-making. 

Support Advisors in the development of risk management plans aligned with client goals. 

Help monitor market trends and price risks through research and data analysis. 

Contribute to market-related updates and assist with the preparation of reports or conference call summaries. 

Maintain and update client records and interactions in the CRM system as needed. 

Participate in client site visits with Advisors to observe relationship-building and client engagement. 

Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned. 

 

Qualifications 

 

Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, or related studies. 

Strong interest in feed and grain industry markets, with any prior coursework or internship experience in agriculture or commodity markets considered a plus. 

Willingness to learn about and potentially pursue necessary certifications (such as the Series 3 Brokers License and Series 30 Branch Manager License) to support a potential career in the industry. 

Background or interest in farming, ranching, or dairy/grain/livestock sectors will be given priority consideration 

Moderate to advanced excel skills  

Proficiency with data analysis
