Job Title: Social Media & Community Intern
Location: 41 Eagle Road, Danbury, CT + Remote
Compensation: $22/hr
Schedule: Must be available to work 4 hours per week onsite in Danbury, CT and remaining hours can be completed remotely during “off” hours, specifically nights and weekends when our social community is engaged and looking to connect with our brand!
The total scheduled hours for this position will be 18-22 hours per week.
Summary
LesserEvil Brand Snack Co. is seeking a Social Media & Community Intern to support the brand within our Marketing Team. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual passionate about community engagement. We are looking for a candidate who lives locally and can work onsite at our Danbury, CT Office 4 hours per week and complete the balance of their work remotely.
In this role, you’ll support communications across our social channels, working closely with our Social Media Manager to engage with our audience, manage inboxes and celebrate our consumers. You will play a key role in maintaining LesserEvil’s social media presence and focus on gaining visibility for the brand across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook and Pinterest.
This role is perfect for someone who’s social-obsessed and wants hands-on experience in building brand love through content and conversation!
Role/Responsibilities
- Supporting community growth and engagement across platforms (especially Instagram + TikTok).
- Responding to DMs, comments, and mentions with brand voice and care.
- Writing captions for social media posts that are engaging and consistent with LesserEvil’s brand voice.
- Being agile, open and have a ‘rapid response’ approach to our online customers.
- Tracking and sharing relevant tags, mentions, and community insights.
- Helping ideate content based on real-time community feedback and sentiment.
- Assisting in brainstorming and planning community-first activations.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and deadline-driven.
- Experience in customer service (retail, food service, etc.) is a huge plus!
- A creative thinker with a pulse on pop culture and social trends.
- Basic copywriting skills and a strong grasp of the CPG space.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, CapCut, and social reporting platforms (Dash Hudson, Meta Business Manager), preferred but not required.
- Proficient in TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Must be available for coverage on nights + weekends. Minimum 18 hours per week.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
- Must have a reliable vehicle as frequent trips between factory, warehouse, and office will be necessary
