Position Summary:

The Shift Manager is responsible for leading daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all team members deliver exceptional service and maintain Jimmy John’s standards for speed, quality, and cleanliness. This role combines hands-on sandwich making, customer service, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and motivate crew members to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations

Uphold Jimmy John’s standards for food quality, accuracy, and presentation

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in the kitchen, lobby, and delivery areas

Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance expectations

Handle shift-level cash management, deposits, and paperwork accurately

Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest issues quickly and professionally

Ensure compliance with company policies, health/safety regulations, and local laws

Assist in managing labor, food, and waste costs during your shifts

Set the tone for a positive, high-energy work environment

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old

Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred (management experience a plus)

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Work in hot and cold environments
