Wire and Cable Manufacturing Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

As the Wire & Cable Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead a high-impact team producing application-specific, multi-core cable and ruggedized assemblies for a variety of industries. Your leadership will directly influence our ability to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions to customers who depend on us. You’ll oversee a team of both direct and indirect reports—ensuring smooth operations across multiple shifts with occasional weekend work. This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions shape safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

 

What you’ll do

Lead and support a team consisting of supervisor, technicians, and machine operators across multiple shifts

Prioritize production schedules based on product launches, equipment efficiency, and material availability

Resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions to improve processes

Work with suppliers and engineers to review, develop, and test new materials for use in wire and cable products

Collaborate with engineering on documentation, work instructions, and routing

Participate in reviews of non-conforming materials and drive quality improvements

Estimate labor and process capabilities for new product introductions

Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback

Oversee cross-training and development of wire and cable production staff

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

 

What you need

Strong leadership and communication skills – Required

5+ years’ experience managing manufacturing operations, preferably in wire and cable – Required

Ability to interpret technical documentation and production schedules – Required

Knowledge of production planning, materials flow, and workflow optimization – Required

Engineering discipline degree or equivalent technical background – Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent – Required

Proficiency in a second language – Preferred

Willingness to work across two shifts with some weekend availability – Required

All candidates must hold ‘US Person’ Status for access to ITAR controlled technical data
