Marketing Support Assistant 

Location:  Omaha, NE                                                     

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Job Purpose and Position Overview

The Marketing Support Assistant provides administrative and creative support to the marketing and business development team. This role helps prepare proposals, update marketing materials, and support company branding efforts to promote the firm’s engineering services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and formatting proposals, qualifications, and presentations.
  • Update project sheets, staff resumes, and company information for marketing use.
  • Gather project photos and details from engineers and project managers.
  • Help maintain the marketing database and project files.
  • Support social media posts, website updates, and company communications.
  • Assist with organizing events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Track upcoming opportunities and deadlines for marketing and business development efforts.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Adobe InDesign a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple tasks at once.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Regular verbal communication and active listening.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference given to local candidates.
  • Experience in a professional services, engineering, or construction firm is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with proposal formatting or basic design layouts is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Normal office work
  • Medium work (lifting 11–30 lbs.)
  • Frequent sitting for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands for computer keyboard and phone operation.
