Cultivating Agricultural Policy Innovators (CAPI) is a paid internship program brought by the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) chapter at UMass Amherst in collaboration with the Massachusetts Food System Collaborative (MAFSC), a non-profit advocacy organization that supports collective action toward an equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system. We are currently accepting applications for our third cohort of the CAPI Internship with an hourly rate of $20.00/hr. for 8 hours per week
Most of the work can be completed remotely, though some in-person visits will be required throughout the semester, adaptable to your schedule.
Eligibility:
All interested UMass Amherst undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of background or academic year (including those graduating Spring 2026), are eligible to apply. No prior experience is required.

Timeline:
- Deadline to apply: November 3rd, 2025
- Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview by the MAFSC
- Final Decisions will be sent out in the last week of December 2025.
- Program timeline: February through May 2026.
