Stipend: $5,000

Job Summary:
The International Latino Cultural Center is seeking proactive and innovative individuals to join our team as a Social Media Associate for 3+ months, from January 26th through April 30th. These individuals will work to plan, create, coordinate, and post the social media content for the 42nd Chicago Latino Film Festival, under the direction of the Communications Manager. The Social Media interns will be in charge of coordinating content under the International Latino Cultural Center accounts in promoting the Film Festival. Additionally, the Social Media Interns work under the supervision of ILCC Staff on strategies to build the International Latino Cultural Center audience while also establishing brand consistency. Through social media interaction, the team will build and strengthen relationships with our Chicago audience and other partner organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage Chicago Latino Film Festival social media content across various platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram
- Collaborate and work under the direction of the Communications Manager and Digital Content Manager to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all social media channels
- Attend film screenings to document, and develop documentation into social media content to build enthusiasm and spread awareness about the films and Festival related events
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing
Qualifications:
- Understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (bilingual or proficient Spanish required)
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to consistently coordinate with other team members for maximum efficiency and understanding
- Ability to use Camera to capture reels and other photo or video content for social media posting.
- Willingness to learn about film, music, or arts industries and passion for Latino culture
- Submit a post-festival Social Media final report to the ILCC team.
