Development Fellow

Development Fellowship

The Development Fellowship provides an opportunity to join a passionate and driven fundraising team and support our ambitious goals for the season! The Development Fellow will gain exposure to various key processes of the department, including email and social media marketing, fundraising campaign strategy, special event planning, database management and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, schedule, and track the performance of emails for our membership and general campaigns, alongside the Individual Giving Associate and Associate Director of Individual Giving.
  • Develop social media strategy and content for our Gen PH Instagram account
  • Process ticket booking requests, in partnership with the Development Assistant.
  • Assist team members in planning and executing Development events, including member nights and our annual Spring Gala.
  • Serve as the first point of contact on Playwrights Horizons’ Development inbox
  • Conduct donor research to identify new prospects and inform strategy.
  • Provide a keen copy-editing eye for digital and print materials.
  • Other projects and responsibilities to be assigned, based on the Development Fellow’s interest and desired development areas.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in our database.

What You Bring to the Development Department:

  • A demonstrable desire to pursue development/arts administration; one prior internship at an arts organization, or equivalent experience, is a plus
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to multitask and a desire to learn about development
  • Meticulous attention to detail and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn new software as it pertains to job responsibilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

What To Expect:

  • You will report directly to the Associate Director of Individual Giving
  • 24-hour work week from November 2025-June 2026
  • $16.50 per hour through December, $17 per hour effective January 1st
