Podcast Marketing Lead

Surviving Trump is a political analysis podcast exploring news, democracy, and civic engagement. Hosted by a Wharton MBA and former SVP of Marketing at American Express, the show blends policy storytelling with strategy insights.

Position Overview

I’m seeking a marketing student to lead an eight‑week digital campaign aimed at doubling paid podcast subscriptions. The project offers direct executive mentorship, creative freedom, and the chance to produce measurable results and portfolio material.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an audience growth plan for social media and email.

• Analyze performance metrics and adjust campaigns weekly.

• Create content ideas to expand listener reach and subscriber conversion.

• Present a summary report of outcomes and recommendations.

Learning Objectives

• Apply digital marketing strategy and analytics in a live setting.

• Gain experience testing messaging and driving paid conversions.

• Work one‑on‑one with an industry executive to refine marketing skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or Communications 

• Familiarity with social media management platforms (e.g., Meta Suite, Canva, Mailchimp).

• Strong writing and creative problem‑solving skills.

• Duration: 8 weeks (approx. 5–7 hrs/week)

• Location: Fully remote

• Compensation: $500 stipend upon completion

• Potential continuation: Role may extend into a paid spring internship
