High-Throughput Lab Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated High-Throughput Experimentation (HTE) Laboratory Technician to join our R&D team in Boston. This hands-on role is ideal for a recent graduate who enjoys lab work, experimental design, and cutting-edge automation technologies.

As an HTE Technician, you will help design, set up, and execute automated chemistry workflows used for reaction screening and optimization. You’ll work closely with scientists and engineers to ensure smooth daily lab operations and contribute to developing scalable experimental platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare reagents, solutions, and materials for high-throughput chemical experiments

Operate, monitor, and maintain lab automation instruments (e.g., Tecan, Hamilton, or similar liquid handlers)

Perform analytical characterization (HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, or related methods)

Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and data records

Support experiment scheduling, data management, and sample tracking

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in chemistry, automation, and data analysis

Follow all safety and quality control procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology (or closely related field)

0–2 years of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or internship)

Familiarity with pipetting, sample preparation, and basic analytical instrumentation

Eagerness to learn automation tools and high-throughput techniques

Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
