Intern - Binding & Cell Bioassay (64384)

Location:  West Chester, United States, Pennsylvania, 19380

Length: minimum of 12 weeks (May 18th through August 7th)

Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week (onsite) for 12 weeks 

Pay:  TBD 

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • During the 12 weeks program, you will gain in-depth insight into the BioAssays department. 
  • Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be directly involved in our daily business and be assigned tasks within diverse projects.
  • You will gain necessary hands-on working with sterile cell culture, cell handling and aseptic techniques, executing bioassays and plate-based assays skills (ELISA, Flow Cytometry, etc.), and better understanding of biological laboratory functions and operations. 
  • You will strengthen data analysis, good documentation and presentation skills as well as good laboratory practice knowledge. 
  • You will also play an important role in the development of concepts and initiatives within the Biologics CMC business unit.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s program in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, chemistry, biology or a related field from an accredited college or university required. 
  • Fundamental understanding and experience in basic laboratory techniques; working knowledge or experience with aseptic techniques and cell culture is preferred.
  • Good organization skills, attention to detail, time management, excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Interest in processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite
