Learning Support Teacher (Grades 5-8)
Saint Andrew Catholic School (Newtown, PA) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Teacher to join our team for the current 2025-2026 school year. This role is designed to provide targeted academic support for students in grades 5–8, both within the classroom and in small-group settings. This individual should have background and/or familiarity with universal design for learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, special education, and overall teaching and strategies for diverse learners. The position is full-time and benefits are available.
Responsibilities include:
● Collaborating with classroom teachers to support student learning.
● Providing small-group or one-on-one instruction to help students strengthen skills and build confidence.
● Through an approved schedule, supporting students by pushing into math classrooms to assist with lessons and pulling students out for small group instruction.
● Monitoring and documenting student progress and communicating regularly with teachers and parents.
● Assisting with the development and implementation of strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Education (Special Education certification preferred).
● Experience working with middle school students
● Strong communication and collaboration skills.
