Join our global HR (Talent) team as we build the infrastructure to support our rapidly growing business. This internship offers hands-on experience across high-impact projects in HR technology, compensation, acquisitions, and learning & development. You'll gain exposure to strategic initiatives while helping shape the future of our people operations.

Harbor is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team for an eight-week, 40-hour per week paid internship that runs from June to August 2026 (the “Program”).  To ensure that you get the most out of the Program, you will need to be onsite at one of our offices in Chicago, London or Belfast, for the full eight weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to building and enhancing HR infrastructure to support global business growth
  • Support the implementation of new HR tech systems, including data migration, testing, and employee training
  • Participate in acquisition-related HR activities such as onboarding planning and integration support
  • Assist with compensation-related tasks, including pulling data from systems, updating compensation letters, and revising policy documents
  • Help develop and roll out learning and development initiatives
  • Research, analyze, and interpret HR-related data to support decision-making
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with various teams to document and improve HR processes
  • Support change management efforts for new system rollouts and organizational changes
  • Engage with employees to gather feedback and improve the HR experience

Qualifications

  • Ideally, you are actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, and/or Finance preferred but not a necessity. Essential qualifications include:
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Sharp, smart and motivated individual with a strong interest in HR 
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be detail-oriented and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Able to complete an 8-week program beginning in June 2026.
  • Able to work up to 40 hours per week.
  • Live in (or willing to locate to) Chicago, London or Belfast.
  • Have permanent US/UK work authorization.
