🏕️ About the Opportunity
Camp Weequahic is a co-ed residential summer camp in Lakewood, Pennsylvania, serving youth from around the world. We're offering Youth Development and Education internships for students passionate about mentoring, child development, and experiential learning.

What You’ll Gain
- Mentorship & Youth Engagement: Supervise and guide children aged 7–16, supporting social-emotional growth and positive development
- Program Facilitation: Assist in planning and delivering recreational, educational, and enrichment activities
- Leadership & Group Management: Learn to lead groups, adapt sessions based on age and ability, and manage dynamics in a safe, inclusive environment
- Communication & Collaboration: Work alongside co-counselors, head staff, and directors in a team-oriented setting
- Internship / Practicum Credit: Receive supervisor evaluations, check-ins, and documentation aligned with university requirements
- Internship Hours: Opportunity to complete 250–450 practicum hours
Internship Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and facilitating daily youth development programs
- Supervise a group of 10–14 campers alongside a co-counselor
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of varying abilities and backgrounds
- Model professionalism, adaptability, and a positive growth mindset
- Participate in staff training, team meetings, and feedback sessions
- Reflect on learning and professional growth as part of practicum requirements
Location & Dates
Location: Lakewood, Pennsylvania (Northeast PA)
Duration: June 13 – August 10, 2026
(Flexible contracts available — must attend orientation June 13–27)
Compensation & Benefits
- Average salary of $2,000 for first-year interns
- Free housing, meals, laundry, uniforms, and airport transportation
