Local author is seeking a student or graduate to fulfill the role of Literary Assistant for the summer of 2026.
Position is in-person at author’s home office; starting 3 hours/3 times a week, and increasing to up to 5 times a week, as she prepares to launch her book.
Student must know MacBook Pro, Word, Gmail, internet deadlines, and be comfortable with taking on various tasks to assist the author.
Primary tasks include assistance with dictation of poetry, stanza formation, use of synonym finder and managing emails to the book designer/publisher.
Successful candidates must be honest, hardworking, reliable, and have a flexible schedule.
The position begins in May and runs through the end of October.
Successful candidates start at $15.00/hour during their training. Once employee has learned the author’s processes a compensatory raise will be discussed.
