Junior Marketing Specialist

The Junior Marketing Specialist supports the Alpha Line of Business (LOB) by driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and consistent messaging. This role combines creativity with practical business acumen to generate impactful marketing initiatives while providing essential support to the Marketing Manager.

 

Job Duties:

Trade Events
    •    Assist in planning and coordinating trade events, including major global tradeshows, customer-specific opportunities, Customer Experience Center visits and events.
    •    Support logistics, product displays, and the promotion of events through social media and public relations.
Advertising & Promotions
    •    Assist senior management and the Marketing Manager to promote Alpha products in targeted trade publications and online platforms.
    •    Contribute to the development of advertisements, press releases, and social media posts highlighting new products, customer success stories, and industry news to position Alpha as a thought leader and industry expert.
Frontline Marketing Support
    •    Assist development of creative, branded sales materials to support the Sales Team.
    •    Create vertical market and key account presentations, as well as customized client-facing materials.
    •    Produce product-specific presentations and marketing tools as needed.
Social Media & Lead Generation
    •   Research and identify effective marketing and promotional channels, with a focus on digital and social media platforms.
    •    Assist maintaining engaging and consistent messaging in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to strengthen the brand.
    •    Track campaign performance through analytics, monitor audience growth, and record leads generated from campaigns, website traffic, and inquiries.
Training & Development Support
    •    Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Training Team to create resources (webinars, videos, presentations, etc.) to educate internal sales teams, channel partners, and customers.
New Product Launches
    •    Support the Product Management Team in launching new products by assisting the creation of marketing assets including sell sheets, presentations, instruction guides, product photography, and social media content.
Digital Asset Management
    •    Assist in organizing and maintaining the portfolio of digital marketing materials (e.g., images, sell sheets, presentations) across multiple regions for accessibility by sales and marketing teams.
Corporate Branding
    •    Contribute to company-wide branding initiatives to ensure a consistent and unified brand identity across all lines of business.
    •    Assist in maintaining the Checkpoint Graphic Standards and ensure all marketing files and source materials are current, accurate, and accessible.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

 

Experience:

  • Previous advertising or marketing experience
  • Internet-based marketing experience

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of graphic design with creativity and pragmatic business sense (video design and photography a plus)
  • Exhibit creativity
  • Energetic, self-starter
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
  • Results-oriented
  • Comfortable working closely with executives, product management, and sales team

 

Other:

  • This position requires limited travel for trade events

Pay Rate:  $20 - $22 per hour
