Summer Internship Program

The Shee Atiká Family of Companies is proud to support the next generation of professionals through our internship program. The Shee Atiká Government Services (SGS) team is currently looking to hire existing college students or recent graduates to participate in a 10-week paid summer internship program. These positions offer interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside Marketing & Communications, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Finance & Accounting and several of our other administrative professionals, applying classroom knowledge to tackle real-world challenges. Interns will have the chance to rotate across the entire SGS organization and finish with a sense of achievement and an understanding of the importance of task prioritization.

 

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

  • Shadow and contribute to corporate communications, including electronic and print newsletters, website content, and social media.
  • Support design of graphics, presentations, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist shareholder engagement through research, interviewing, and community involvement.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of data and materials for meetings 
  • Monitor and review SGS dashboards to identify trends
  • Perform mathematical and financial calculations on reports
  • Assist in managing or planning events
  • Align Shee Atika organizational values with day-to-day operations

Requirements

  • Post-secondary students or recent graduates of an accredited 2- or 4-year college, with either business, communications, marketing, management, finance, accounting, or related fields and/or relevant experience and interests
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions 
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills 
  • Enthusiasm for acquiring new knowledge and embracing challenges 
  • Proactive attitude and a readiness to take ownership of projects
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour week
  • Demonstrated productivity skills, able to switch between different tasks, and comfortable taking on a variety of tasks
  • Comfortable using and learning online tools including but not limited to Canva, email marketing platforms, and social media outlets, Customer Relationship Management software, and Human Resources Information Systems
  • Demonstrated abilities in learning new skills, change/variety in work and creativity, exhibit attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Able to problem-solve and innovate 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • GPA of 2.0 or better
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen

At the completion of the summer internship, interns will be required to present a group project including their findings and experience to the executive leadership team.

Work Environment

Remote office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SGS.
