Business Development Intern

Bimotal Business Development Internship Job Description

Bimotal Application Submission

The Company

Bimotal was founded to develop innovative micro electric powertrains for right-sized personal vehicles. We are a team of Tesla, aerospace, F1, and bike industry alumni working toward our mission of powering motion. In addition to our direct-to-consumer product, Elevate, an easily retrofittable and removable powertrain that converts disc-brake bicycles into ebikes, we partner with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to deliver high-performance powertrains tailored to their needs.

Bimotal is positioning itself as a technology company focused on building the world’s best micro electric powertrains to power bikes, wheelchairs, search and rescue equipment, robotics, and automation. Come join us in building the future of motion.

The Job

As a Bimotal Business Development Intern, you will help drive the growth of Bimotal’s business-to-business (B2B) initiatives. You’ll take on core business development tasks, conduct market analyses, build and refine pitch materials, and interface directly with potential partners and clients. This role is hands-on and dynamic—you’ll be expected to take ownership of projects, work independently, and contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing company and high-caliber team shaping the future of mobility and robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategy and pipeline for both B2B and D2C prospects.
  • Support market entry into new sectors such as robotics through market studies, high-level financial modeling, and opportunity analysis.
  • Build and manage automated outreach systems (LinkedIn and email) to generate leads and track engagement.
  • Curate outward-facing content that increases Bimotal’s B2B visibility, including LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment between technical and business communications.
  • Assist with events and tradeshows, including preparation of marketing and briefing materials.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Prepare one-pagers, case studies, and meeting briefs for OEMs, investors, and strategic partners.
    • Manage inbound partnership inquiries, discovery calls, and follow-ups; maintain contact lists and meeting notes.
  • Sales & Operations Enablement:
    • Qualify and nurture leads through the sales funnel; assist in developing proposals, LOIs, and partner onboarding materials.
    • Maintain and improve CRM systems and BD processes; track KPIs such as leads generated, meetings booked, and conversion ratios.

Qualifications

  • Self-driven with a strong desire to make an impact
  • Solid business acumen and ability to quickly grasp new concepts
  • Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with partners and clients
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace; ability to create clear, error-free presentations and well-organized spreadsheets
  • Basic understanding of financial principles and business metrics
