Assistant General Manager

Fresh Monkee is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, energetic Assistant Manager (AM) to help bring our mission of healthy, handcrafted protein shakes to life! The AM plays a key role in supporting the General Manager (GM) to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional customer service, and a fun, positive team environment.

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (based on store needs and sales volume)
Pay: Competitive hourly or salary (based on experience) + credit card & cash tips

Responsibilities

Operational Support

Assist the GM in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Help manage employee schedules and monitor staffing levels.

Maintain inventory levels and assist with vendor coordination.

Enforce company standards, procedures, and food safety policies.

Customer Service Excellence

Learn and prepare 30+ shake recipes accurately and efficiently.

Engage with customers to recommend shakes and add-ons that meet their goals.

Ensure every guest enjoys a welcoming, positive experience.

Address customer questions or issues promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership & Training

Support recruiting, training, and onboarding new employees.

Coach and motivate team members to perform at their best.

Reinforce procedures and retrain when necessary.

Foster a positive, team-driven store culture.

Financial & Administrative Support

Assist the GM with daily sales tracking, cash management, and expense control.

Help identify ways to improve profitability, reduce waste, and boost sales.

Health & Safety Compliance

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food handling.

Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.

Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate service needs.

Teamwork & Communication

Collaborate closely with the GM and fellow Assistant Managers.

Communicate clearly, listen actively, and lead by example.

Help create a fun, supportive, and productive work environment.
 

Experience & Qualifications

Prior experience in restaurant, café, or quick-service management preferred.

Dependable, flexible, and proactive with strong organizational skills.

Excellent communicator who stays calm and positive under pressure.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.

Comfortable managing cash, keys, and daily operational tasks.

Available for shop emergencies and capable of running shifts in the GM’s absence.

Passionate about healthy living, teamwork, and creating great customer experiences.
