Marketing Communications Intern
Job Description:

Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior)
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in marketing projects such as drafting copy and directives for copywriters, email marketing, direct mail, website organization, research and project management.
Copy proofing.
Manage graphic design projects.
Compile and analyze campaign metrics and provide reporting and recommendations based on findings.
Work on projects for ABA’s America’s Banks reputational campaign, including researching stories, bank outreach and organizing and developing content.
Support ABA’s social media initiatives including brainstorming ideas for Instagram that includes sharing intern related content, execution of “Takeover Tuesday” campaign with interns, monitor member banks weekly through ABA Twitter lists and look for user generated #AmericasBanks content that ABA can use on our own social media channels.
Assist PR mailings & clippings.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
Experience working with various social media platforms in a professional context is desirable.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to report into ABA headquarters located in Washington, DC, a minimum of two-times per week (relocation assistance or stipend is not included for the intern program). Internship positions are not eligible for healthcare insurance coverage.
