U.S. Senator Tina Smith – SPRING INTERNSHIP

U.S. Senator Tina Smith’s office is seeking energetic, organized and politically driven college students and/or recent Bachelor degree graduates for our fall internship program. This position provides exposure to the legislative process, while developing a strong understanding of how a congressional office operates. Intern responsibilities, include but are not limited to, answering phones, in-taking casework so we can help Minnesotans navigate issues they're having with federal agencies, organizing constituent mail, and assisting outreach staff by attending events, meetings and researching a variety of issues. Payment information: Interns receive a ~$2,700 stipend that is spread out throughout the internship session. Interns are paid on the 5th and 20th of each month. If one of those days falls on a holiday or weekend, interns are paid the business day prior.
