Social Media Intern

Sidebar Designs is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to help us grow our presence on Instagram and other platforms. This role involves photographing products and our creative process, helping plan and post content that fits our style, and keeping our feed cohesive and on-brand.

The ideal candidate has an eye for design, a good understanding of current social media trends, and a passion for art and handmade products. You’ll work directly with artist and founder Marley Carlton in our Columbia, South Carolina studio to create fresh, engaging content that tells the story behind our work.

Responsibilities:

Photograph products, behind-the-scenes moments, and studio life

Create and edit content for Instagram and other platforms

Assist with planning and scheduling posts

Help maintain a cohesive visual identity across platforms

Brainstorm new ideas for engagement and growth

Preferred Skills:

Photography and basic editing skills

Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Canva

Strong attention to detail and an interest in art, design, or marketing

Location: Columbia, SC (in-person preferred)
Hours: Flexible, part-time
