Job Overview:
To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, CATL, through its U.S.-based subsidiary, CATK, is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented HR Inter to join our HR team. The HR Generalist will manage daily HR operations and support the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, with a focus on supporting plant leadership and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices and the ability to handle a wide range of HR functions to ensure a positive employee experience and efficient HR operations.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
· Execute effective recruitment strategies in collaboration with the General Manager, HR Manager, and plant leadership.
· Source, interview, and onboard qualified candidates to ensure a seamless and positive experience for candidates throughout the hiring process.
New Hire Orientation:
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Provide new employees with information on company policies, procedures, benefits, and culture.
- Facilitate initial training sessions and introduce new hires to their teams and work environment.
Payroll Administration:
· Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Maintain and update payroll systems as needed.
Benefits Enrollment and Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with benefits policies and regulations.
- Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support for employee benefits-related issues.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees with HR-related questions or concerns.
- Address and resolve employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions for disciplinary actions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Employee Engagement:
- Lead the employee engagement action planning process with senior leadership.
- Communicate progress and updates on engagement plans to all stakeholders regularly.
- Develop initiatives to boost employee morale and engagement.
General HR Operations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Support performance management, including appraisals and improvement plans.
- Participate in HR projects to enhance HR services and programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
- Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
- Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds.
- Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.
- Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation.
