Job Summary
The Administrative Coordinator provides high-level administrative and programmatic support for multiple academic initiatives within the Institute for Innovative and Integrated Studies. Areas of responsibility include Interdisciplinary Studies, Adult and Online Learning, Embedded Dual-Enrollment, Continuing and Professional Education, and other units as assigned. This position supports the Assistant Provost, Directors, and Faculty Fellows by coordinating daily operations, managing communications, and assisting with strategic projects that advance institutional goals in innovation, access, and student success.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for departmental inquiries, ensuring prompt referral of student, faculty, and partner questions
• Provide general administrative support to the Assistant Provost, Directors, and Faculty Fellows, including scheduling, correspondence, and project support
• Manage and monitor departmental social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and responding to inquiries
• Support student engagement by monitoring Folio spaces and collecting assessment data for Adult and Online Learning and Interdisciplinary Studies
• Curate, maintain, and update website content for Interdisciplinary Studies and Adult and Online Learning, ensuring accessibility and accuracy
• Assist with data collection, communication, and compliance efforts related to professional licensure disclosures and NC-SARA requirements
• Coordinate the Digital Badging program, including record-keeping, communication, and reporting in collaboration with relevant units
• Provide administrative and logistical support for on-campus and off-campus events, including planning, promotion, and day-of coordination
• Track and support instructional design service requests, course scheduling, enrollment processes, and compliance programs like Conversations with Professors
• Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and divisional research projects, including data collection, report preparation, and presentations
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
• Three (3) or more years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with software such as Banner, Digital Badging, Workday Adaptive, WordPress, Excel, and/or Smartsheet
Preferred Experience
• Two (2) or more years of higher education experience
Proposed Salary
$23.29 - $25.88 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
