Content Creation & Media Internship
Overview:
The Content Creation & Media Intern plays a key role in capturing and producing engaging content that showcases the Casper Spuds’ players, fans, and community. This position combines photography, videography, storytelling, and social media strategy to help grow the Spuds’ digital presence across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Photography & Videography
- Capture high-quality still photos and video footage during games, practices, community appearances, and team events.
- Set up and operate broadcast and recording equipment pregame and postgame.
- Create highlight reels, recap videos, and promotional clips for digital and in-stadium use.
- Organize and edit media files for use across social media, marketing, and press releases.
- Coordinate with the Media Operations team to produce pre- and postgame interviews with players, coaches, and staff.
- Attend media events, press conferences, and special team appearances as needed.
Writing & Communications
- Assist in dafting and editing press releases, game recaps, and social media stories.
- Proofread and perform copy edits before publication.
- Assist with league-wide communications, working directly with ILB media representatives and local news outlets.
- Support coordination between the Spuds, visiting teams, and league officials on game-day communications.
Social Media & Fan Engagement
- Produce creative, high-quality content for Spuds social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
- Work directly with the marketing and media interns to develop and execute content strategies that increase fan engagement and online visibility.
- Highlight players, behind-the-scenes stories, and unique “Tater Nation” moments to strengthen the team’s brand voice.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, video equipment, and editing software (Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Canva, etc.).
- Strong understanding of social media trends and storytelling.
- Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for home games and events.
- Passion for baseball, creativity, and fan-first engagement.
