Overview:
The Stadium Operations & Public Relations Intern plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Mike Lansing Field and the surrounding ballpark areas while assisting with marketing, community relations, and special event coordination. This position offers hands-on experience in event management, facility operations, and public outreach, contributing to the overall fan experience and community engagement of the Casper Spuds.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Game-Day Operations
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the field, concourse, and surrounding stadium areas.
- Support the setup and breakdown of gameday and non-gameday events, including tents, tables, signage, and promotional materials.
- Report any facility or maintenance issues to the Front Office promptly.
- Aid support staff during game days, ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for fans and guests.
- Work closely with Casper Legion Baseball staff to assist with field and event needs during their games and activities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all guest-facing areas, including seating, concourses, and restrooms.
Event Planning & Execution
- Assist in organizing and executing special events, such as festivals, community gatherings, and themed game nights.
- Help with the creation, planning, and execution of game-day scripts, coordinating with Media and Marketing departments.
- Collaborate with Sales, Media, and Marketing teams to execute non-gameday events such as concerts, fundraisers, and tournaments.
- Provide on-site event support, ensuring smooth transitions, guest engagement, and operational readiness.
Marketing & Community Relations
- Assist the Marketing Department in promoting upcoming events through flyer distribution, fan engagement, and direct outreach.
- Represent the Spuds at community events, helping to strengthen relationships with fans, sponsors, and local businesses.
- Support the concept and promotion of themed nights and community initiatives to increase participation and attendance.
- Engage with fans and guests to promote a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the ballpark.
