Hoboken Wood Company is a growing design and fabrication studio producing high-end wood furniture, fixtures, and custom millwork. We combine craftsmanship with modern manufacturing processes, blending traditional woodworking with CNC machining, finishing systems, and packaging automation.

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual interested in both woodworking and industrial manufacturing processes. This entry-level position is ideal for college students or recent graduates in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Design who want to learn through practical experience.

Responsibilities
• Operate woodworking and finishing equipment including planers, sanders, spray systems, and CNC machines
• Assist with production planning, quality control, and workflow optimization
• Support packaging design and process improvements to ensure products ship safely and efficiently
• Participate in light automation and process engineering projects such as jig design, workstation layout, and tool organization
• Learn modern manufacturing tools and systems used in small-scale production environments

What You Will Learn
• Real-world application of lean manufacturing principles in a custom shop environment
• Introduction to industrial packaging and materials handling systems
• Hands-on skills in wood fabrication, finishing, and assembly
• Exposure to CAD, CAM, and CNC machining workflows

Who You Are
• Curious and eager to learn how things are made and improved
• Comfortable with hands-on work including tools, machinery, and measurement systems
• Interested in the intersection of craft and engineering
• Studying or recently graduated in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design, or Manufacturing (preferred but not required)
• Available 15–40 hours per week depending on schedule
