
Digital Multimedia Specialist
The Digital Multimedia Specialist is a highly creative and technically advanced professional responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of video, audio, photography, and multimedia productions that communicate messages for the Pennsylvania Courts. This role involves all aspects of art direction and production, resulting in high-quality products and services utilized by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as courts within the Unified Judicial System. The specialist serves a diverse audience that includes jurists, high-ranking officials, state agencies, community organizations, consumers, legislators, boards, and commissions.
Job Duties
- Leads project from inception to completion by meeting with clients to determine project requirements. Strategically plans projects by storyboarding, planning shots and equipment needed, creating sets, blocking actors, and anticipating audio needs.
- Responsible for all aspects of video and art production. Sets up and operates professional, broadcast-quality video cameras, recorders, lighting, audio, drone technology, teleprompters, switchers, and mixers.
- Provides production planning and technical execution of camera and lighting setups for both cinematography and photography, as well as all phases of post-production, including graphics, editorial, color grading, sound, and delivery.
- Creates complex motion graphics, social media graphics, animations and designs to be included in video, internet and multimedia programming.
- Performs editing and post-production of video and multimedia activities, including interpretation of written scripts, storyboards, selection of visuals and other images, selection and purchasing of music, closed captioning, recording of sound effects and narration tracks, and design of graphics and animations.
- Prepares and creates 2D/3D design and motion graphics for use in promotional, educational, and training videos as well as broadcast television, social media and website design support.
- Serves as the photographer for the UJS and its related entities, including producing professional-grade portraiture for use on websites and other communication and social media outlets.
- Responsible for procurement and management of all audio, video, lighting, and photo equipment.
- Uploads new videos to AOPC YouTube and Vimeo sites and maintains content.
Additional Requirements
- Satisfactory criminal background check required
- Occasional overnight, statewide travel required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proficiency with professional-level digital video, audio, and multimedia software on a Mac platform is required.
- Proficiency with 2D/3D motion graphic software and post-production workflow systems required.
