Social Media Intern

We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. This internship offers hands-on experience in live streaming, email marketing, social media strategy, and content creation. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop engaging content, foster online community engagement, and learn essential marketing skills in a supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their expertise in social media marketing and digital content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Live Streaming Support: Assist in setting up, managing, and performing live streams on TikTok, learning best practices for audience engagement and technical execution.

Email Marketing Assistance: Support the creation and distribution of marketing emails, including drafting content, designing templates using tools like Canva, and learning email campaign strategies under the guidance of the marketing manager.

Content Creation and Editing: Collaborate with the marketing team to create, edit, and post videos and graphics for social media, ensuring alignment with brand voice and aesthetic. Learn to use video editing software  and graphic design tools.

Community Engagement: Respond to chats, comments, and direct messages across social media platforms in a professional and timely manner to build audience relationships, with guidance on tone and brand consistency.

Lead Generation: Learn to identify and engage potential customers through social media channels, supporting lead generation efforts with training from the marketing team.

Trend Awareness: Stay informed about social media trends, tools, and best practices, contributing ideas for campaigns and content under supervision.

Learning Opportunities

Gain hands-on experience with live streaming tools and platforms.

Develop skills in crafting and analyzing marketing emails using platforms like Mailchimp or similar.

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

Technical Skills:

Basic familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or iMovie) or a willingness to learn.

Interest in learning graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for creating social media posts.

Basic understanding of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X).

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to develop engaging posts and audience interactions.

Eagerness to adapt tone and style for different platforms under guidance.

Soft Skills:

Creative mindset with an interest in learning about aesthetics and branding.

Organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with support.

Enthusiastic and proactive attitude, with a desire to learn and collaborate.

Minimum Requirements:

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience).

Interest in video editing and content creation.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and take direction.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with social media platforms or content creation (e.g., personal projects, coursework, or volunteer work).

Curiosity about digital marketing trends and tools.
