Data Scientist

A leading education and technology organization based in Chicago, IL is looking for a Data Scientist to join their growing analytics team. This role involves designing and implementing advanced machine learning models and AI-driven solutions that enhance student success, business performance, and strategic decision-making. Role:
πŸ“Š Build, test, and deploy predictive and machine learning models using Python or R
πŸ€– Apply modern algorithms (Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.) to solve key business challenges
πŸ” Perform data mining and analysis using large, diverse data sets from internal and third-party sources
🧠 Collaborate cross-functionally to identify analytics needs and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
🧩 Optimize data pipelines and improve data model integrity and performance
🧾 Present findings and data-driven insights to management through clear and impactful reports
πŸ’‘ Support experimentation and evaluation of AI and GenAI technologies to improve analytical workflows

Requirements:
πŸŽ“ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
βš™οΈ 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning roles
🐍 Proficiency in Python or R, with strong SQL querying skills
πŸ“ˆ Experience using tools like GCP, BigQuery, PowerBI, or SQL Server
πŸ“š Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, regression, and data visualization
πŸ”¬ Background in advanced analytics, AI, or revenue optimization is a plus
🀝 Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
πŸ’» Familiarity with Git and collaborative coding environments
