Marketing AI Specialist Intern - Summer 2026 (Onsite, Columbus, Ohio)

As a Marketing AI Specialist Intern at McKesson, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our Marketing team. You will work across the department to assess, recommend, and implement basic digital capabilities focused on Agentic AI. The work spans insights, campaigns, content, and more. Your contributions in this project-based work will enable faster, more personalized marketing decisions. You will practice curiosity, learning, and experimentation while being focused on executing with a customer-first mindset.

 

Key contributions and responsibilities:

  • Create, test, & iterate basic agentic AI prototypes (agents, chains, or workflows) that automate or augment marketing tasks across insights, demand generation, and brand teams to deliver measurable improvements in speed, relevance, or efficiency.
  • Go beyond AI engineering & support campaign data, segmentation, CRM analytics, research, and more.
  • Analyze data inputs and outputs for agent performance; produce analysis and clear recommendation for deployment or enhancement.
  • Implement basic AI integrations, such as API, prompt templates, or orchestration scripts.
  • Collaborate within the team to gather requirements, document use cases, and map operational guardrails.
  • Provide recommendations on how the team should report on agent accuracy, bias risks, cost, and performance metrics.

 

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics or business with hands-on Agentic AI coursework. Degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field with Marketing minor acceptable
  • Technical experience creating agents or agentic workflows using LLMs, orchestration frameworks, or agent tool kits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability present technical concepts to non-technical audiences

 

Skills:

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, agentic engineering, evaluation metrics for conversational agents, and basic prompt safety/mitigation techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud services and deployment patterns for lightweight Al workloads.
  • Understanding of marketing systems (CRM, campaign automation, analytics platforms) and how AI can integrate with them.
  • Eagerness to learn, iterate quickly, and deliver production-minded prototypes..
