General Manager

Pay: $70,000-$80,000 per year

Job description:

General Manager – Janitorial Operations
Location: Topeka, KS (on-site, with local travel)
Reports to: District Manager

Midwest Maintenance is seeking a hands-on, results-driven General Manager to oversee janitorial operations across Topeka and surrounding areas. You will lead teams, manage client relationships, and ensure 24/7 operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and ensure top-tier service.
  • Lead, schedule, train, and hold teams accountable for performance.
  • Oversee labor budgets and control costs.
  • Enforce safety, policy, and contract compliance.
  • Respond to operational needs after hours when required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years leadership in janitorial, facilities, or related services.
  • Experience managing around-the-clock operations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting and scheduling.
  • Clean driving record; valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
