Progress Action Fund (PAF) is a Democratic super PAC with a simple motto: when Republicans go low, we go lower. PAF is best known for its viral ads starring "Your Republican Congressman," which received immense praise and media coverage from Nicolle Wallace to even Steve Bannon. PAF’s ads gained over 270 million organic views on social media during the 2024 cycle

We’re looking for a Social Media Intern who not only manages accounts but also creates original content and builds an audience across their own channels.

This role is ideal for someone active on TikTok, Instagram, and X/Twitter who understands internet culture and enjoys blending politics, memes, and storytelling to engage and inspire others. You’ll help shape our voice online and be part of the next generation of digital political creators.

What You’ll Do

Create original short-form content (video, memes, text posts) for PAF and your own social channels that align with our mission.

Go live on your channels to discuss trending topics, current events, and the political issues that matter most to young voters.

Collaborate with our creative and analytics teams to produce videos that are designed to go viral.

Engage with followers and influencers to discuss trending topics, current events, and the political issues that matter most to align with our values — and bring new audiences into the conversation.

Track what’s working: identify trends, formats, and creators we can learn from or collaborate with.

You Are

Deeply online: you know the tone, pacing, and humor that hits on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Creative and fast: you can ideate, shoot, and post content in the same day.

Comfortable being on camera, sharing your opinions, and building a following.

Passionate about progressive politics, media, and digital culture.

A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, experimental environment.

Requirements

Experience creating social media content (personal or brand).

Working knowledge of short-form editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar).

Strong written communication and creative instincts.

Availability of 10-15 hours per week.

Bonus: You already have a following on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or X/Twitter.

Compensation & Duration

200 a week stipend plus performance bonuses 

Flexible schedule, remote work environment.
