Personal Lines Production Underwriter

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $50,000

 

About the Role

For over 50 years, our client has partnered with independent insurance agents across the Southeast, providing access to more than 120+ markets in Commercial P&C, Personal Lines, and Professional Lines.

They’re seeking an energetic and personable Personal Lines Production Underwriter to join their growing team. This is a unique hybrid role that blends marketing, new business development, and underwriting—ideal for someone eager to build a career in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and onboard new agency contacts with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Train agents on how to use online rating tools and systems effectively.

Review and approve online quotes requiring underwriting discretion and accuracy.

Support personal lines underwriting tasks while developing expertise in production underwriting.

Represent the company at industry events, agency meetings, and trade shows.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Recent college graduates encouraged to apply — no prior insurance experience required!

A college degree is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are key.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.

Tech-savvy and confident helping others navigate software tools.

Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Prior sales or client-facing experience is a plus, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are what matter most.
