Description

Sullivan’s Landscaping is a growing full service landscape company located in Coastal Central and Southern Delaware, and we are expanding our turfgrass and lawn care team. If you love working outside, this role will involve turfgrass applications and operational excellence.  

To be successful in this role you must be a self-motivated and driven individual with a career-focused mindset. You must be able to thrive in a fast paced yet structured environment being able to pay close attention to detail even when under pressure. The ability to find enjoyment in building strong relationships with our spray technicians will be the most important skill set to bring out the best in our employees and to effectively manage operations.  This position will directly report to our Turf Shop at 28828 Four of Us Road, Harbeson Delaware.

Responsibilities of a Turf Service Manager:

• Manage daily operations of the turf team, including loading, dispatch and field operations
• Train incoming Turf Technicians
• Assess turfgrass onsite and relay specific lawn care information to the General Manager
• Work closely with the turf team to ensure efficient operations, while also having the autonomy to work independently.
• Take care of client properties with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Communicate what has been completed each day to the General Manager using specific information.
• Perform turf applications and other field work as necessary to ensure timely completion of services
• Be a role model of Sullivan’s core values to our turf technicians
• Be able to understand and communicate what we are doing to our customers as needed.

Requirements

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in the green or agricultural industry, but we also welcome candidates with a continual learner mindset.
• Secondary education in agronomy, turfgrass, or agricultural sciences is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.  
• Possession of a valid Driver's License
• Capability to obtain and maintain a state-issued pesticide applicator license for turfgrass within 3 months of hire date
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
