Supplier Quality Engineer

Summary/Objective 
Improving Supplier performance to decrease cost of FANA production.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Supplier audit planning and implementing supplier audit according to plan.
  2. Support purchasing for supplier selection.
  3. Participate in new material development and support supplier audit.
  4. Supplier PPAP sign off.
  5. Feed component issues back to supplier and follow up with 8D to be closed.
  6. Responsible for supplier quality performance collecting and improving.
  7. Make material inspection standard and WI for IPQC.
  8. Report to HQ and Top management of material performance.
  9. Other duties as assigned by Quality manager.

  1. Quality tools: IATF 16949, FMEA/SPC/MSA/CP/APQP/PPAP, 8D, CSR, VDA6.3, etc.
  2. Problem Solving/Analysis.

  4. Communication Proficiency.

  6. Time Management

 

Supervisory Responsibility

No supervisory responsibility in this position.

 

Work Environment

  1. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Sometimes there is a need to go to the plant floor or a need to go off-site for customers.
  2. Must be 18 years or older

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Be able to distinguish between different colors and shapes of glass. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Travel 

Travel is expected for this position.

 

Required Education and Experience

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ Automotive Quality field IATF Auditor/Supplier quality management experience.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ Automotive Quality field IATF auditor / Supplier quality management experience.
  2. A Master’s degree and 2 years’ Automotive Quality field IATF auditor / Supplier quality management experience.
