Location: Colby, Kansas
Pay: $51,123 annual salary | $325 sign-on bonus
Job Type: Full-time; In-person
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (with some evening & weekend events)

What You’ll Do:
· Community Outreach & Engagement: Lead efforts to raise awareness of High Plains Mental Health Center (HPMHC) and its services in Colby and surrounding areas. Build and nurture relationships with community partners, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools, courts, and civic organizations.
· Represent HPMHC at Local Events: Attend community events and provide outreach materials and presentations about mental health services. You’ll act as the public face of our organization in the region, advocating for mental health awareness and education.
· Public Speaking & Education: Educate local stakeholders about mental health and the resources we offer through public presentations, workshops, and one-on-one engagements.
· Community Liaison: Serve as the county liaison, working with local partners to improve relationships and foster a supportive environment for mental health awareness. Travel to surrounding counties as needed.
· Assist with Events: Help plan and execute community education events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns.
· Be a Voice for Change: Work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and help our community better understand and access mental health services.

Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred, with relevant experience in marketing/communications, behavioral health, education, or social services considered.
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; some travel is required, including daytime and occasional overnight travel. Center vehicle provided.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build lasting relationships.
· Public speaking experience is strongly preferred.
· Must reside in or near Thomas County, Kansas, and be able to work on-site at our Colby Branch Office.
· Strong proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, and basic office equipment.
· Muss pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening; subject to random drug pool during employment.
· Must pass all required background checks.
