Supply Management Specialist

Title: Supply Management Specialist

📍 Milan, IL 61264
đź•’ 12-month contract (possible extension or internal hire)
Hourly (W2 – SGS Payroll, all-inclusive; no PTO/holiday pay)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (½-hour lunch)

40 hours per week (some flexibility available)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Supply Management Specialist to join our team in Milan, IL. This entry-level role provides sourcing, procurement, and supplier management support within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP). You will collaborate across teams to execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, resolve supplier performance issues, and support cost reduction initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates in Supply Chain, Business, or related fields to gain hands-on experience in supplier management, SAP, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP), including cost analysis, supplier selection, and resourcing activities

Support make vs. buy decisions and cost-reduction initiatives

Assist in Engineering Change Management (ECM) to ensure timely, cost-effective product changes

Develop and implement inventory plans to achieve material flow and asset management goals

Resolve shipping, receiving, invoicing, and payment issues with suppliers

Drive continuous improvement using supplier performance metrics and the Achieving Excellence process

Work cross-functionally to define, resolve, and prevent supplier performance issues

Expedite parts when necessary to support production and delivery

Required Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, etc.)

Knowledge of SAP

Familiarity with Power BI (or other analytics/reporting tools)

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields
