JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting each project with design tracking and coordination of all aspects of construction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A working knowledge of engineering principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules.
- Working knowledge of document control and job cost tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Must be able to act with integrity, professionalism and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Experienced in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have a safe driving record and a valid driver’s license according to legal requirements
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel as needed, including local travel to jobsites.
- May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Spectrum and Change Order Pro experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
- Review and understand project drawings and specs.
- Monitor progress of projects, including tracking and documentation of job costs, contract design changes and updates.
- Prepare project submittals and provide written RFIs to client.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of various project logs, including project change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
- Participate in project planning, including development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Assist with punch list and close-out.
- This position may be required to drive.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary range: $72,000 - 95,000 annually.
- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k with company match.
