Photographer/Videographer

Position: Photographer/Videographer

Supervisor: Adventure Director & Summer Camp Director 
 

Summary of Position: The Photographer/Videographer is responsible for capturing daily life at camp and making images available to parents through the online parent portal and social media. Images and videos will also be used for marketing and promotional purposes. This position will also help manage NaCoMe’s social media accounts over the summer to promote camp and give parents a glimpse into their camper’s everyday experiences. 

 

Qualifications:

  • A commitment to Christian principles and NaCoMe’s mission and vision as a ministry of the PCUSA.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, 1 year out of high school preferred.
  • Certifications in First Aid and CPR (provided by NaCoMe).
  • Has interest and experience working with children (ages range from 6-18 years old).
  • Is able to traverse the multi-terrain campgrounds.
  • Willing to learn multiple program areas and be adaptable to changes. 
  • Must be comfortable with being a team player. 
  • Basic understanding of photo/video hardware and programs.
  • Knowledge of video editing software.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in design, art, or media-related fields. 
  • Preferred: Previous summer camp work experience.
     

Responsibilities: 

  • Must attend Staff Training in its entirety unless prior arrangements have been made in advance with the Summer Camp Director.
  • Preferred: Attendance at Ropes Course and/or Lifeguard Training (during Staff Training). This role may not actually receive the certifications, but we do want this training documented and photographed. 
  • Take photos and videos of participants daily at each activity
  • Upload photos and videos to NaCoMe’s photo parent portal daily.
  • Work with the Camp Manager to send out timely social media posts. 
  • Create a weekly video for the end-of-week ceremony. 
  • Organize and maintain department equipment.
  • Assist with camp programming and other camp-wide activities as assigned by the Adventure Director and Summer Camp Director. 
  • Spend time with campers and family groups outside of direct work responsibilities. 
  • Help maintain clean activity areas; assist with clean up and turnover on the last days of camp each week. 
  • Work as a team with all NaCoMe staff and promote a community based around Christian principles, integrity, and hard work. 
  • All other duties as assigned.
