Grove Point Marinas is expanding and seeking a Regional Operations Manager!

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the marinas in their portfolio including but not limited to: storage revenue, fuel sales, boat rentals, cabin/condo rentals, retail, and other related items; guiding GMs in their decision-making process. This position will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting frequently with the Company’s founders, and report to the VP of Operations.
This is a remote/hybrid position that requires 30-40% travel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations
- Drive marina management culture consistent with company values
- Oversee proper Rent Roll Updates and contract management
- Collaborate with marina managers to prioritize projects and produce weekly financial reviews
- Identify areas of improvement and work with marina managers to execute improvements
- Drive marina manager compliance with management operating procedures, including software adoption
- Lead the talent management, interview and hiring of new marina managers
- Develop annual and ad-hoc forecasting and budgets
- Maintain competitive market analysis for each marina
- Leverage data for recommendations on market positioning and capital expenditures
- Implement safety programs and equipment line protection to safeguard equipment and staff
2. Service
- Monitor service department KPIs
- Direct oversight of Service Technician hiring and retention
- Create/support training opportunities to expand skills across the service team
3. Construction & Project Management
- Lead contract negotiation and management on all major construction projects
- Assist properties with ROI Analysis on all capital expenditure projects
- Assist properties with Vendor Management
- Create, manage, and track spend of Project Plans with properties
4. Systems
- Assist with standardizing marina operating and accounting systems
- Oversee data collection and prep
- Work with accounting team and property teams to validate data
- Oversee system implementations at properties
5. Growth
- Identify areas to enhance marinas with additional offerings that generate revenue growth
- Drive EBITDAM initiatives through better efficiency and inventory management
- Develop and refine reporting tools and metrics to measure progress
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets in a fast-paced environment
- Working in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and company goals
- Ability to effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or the work environment
- Proficient in MOLO marina software, Wrike project management software, and Pipedrive CRM software is not required, but nice-to-have
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Skilled at building a cohesive team and facilitating goal accomplishment
