Sales & Marketing Intern

Sales & Marketing Intern - NOOISH

Want to build something from the ground up? Join a fast-growing food startup that's been featured on The Drew Barrymore Show, in The New York Times, Food & Wine, and more—and gain hands-on experience you won't find at a corporate internship.

About NOOISH

We've gone from a kitchen experiment to national media attention in record time. NOOISH is a Columbus-based company bringing modern Jewish food to the masses—starting with the world's first instant matzo ball soup (just add water!). We're passionate about bringing joy and tradition to people's tables, and we're scaling fast.

This isn't a "get coffee and sit in on meetings" internship. You'll own real projects, work directly with our founder, and see the immediate impact of your work on a growing brand.

Why This Internship is Different

You'll work directly with our founder. No bureaucracy, no layers of management. You'll gain insider knowledge of building a CPG brand from someone who's actually done it—from product development to getting on retail shelves to landing national media.

Your work matters immediately. The sales pitches you write? They'll go to real prospects. The social content you create? It'll reach thousands of people. The accounts you help land? They'll put our product in stores. You'll see the direct results of your efforts, not just add to some corporate deck.

This is a startup. You'll wear multiple hats, move fast, and have real responsibility. If you want to learn by doing (not by watching), this is for you.

What You'll Actually Learn

  • How to launch and scale a consumer product from scratch to shelf
  • Real sales strategy—building pipelines, crafting pitches, and closing deals
  • Content creation that drives actual revenue and engagement (not vanity metrics)
  • How to market to both DTC consumers and retail buyers
  • What it takes to build a brand in a competitive industry
  • How small teams move fast and make things happen without red tape
  • The Jewish food industry and cultural marketing from an industry veteran

What You'll Do

Sales & Business Development

  • Build and manage sales pipelines using a smart blend of personalization and AI tools
  • Craft compelling pitches and reach out to potential retail and wholesale accounts
  • Research and identify new market opportunities
  • Track results and learn what actually works in B2B sales

Marketing & Content Creation

  • Create and schedule social media content for TikTok and Instagram that drives engagement
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research
  • Help maintain and update our website with fresh product information

Strategy & Operations

  • Prepare presentations and reports for retailer meetings
  • Analyze data to inform marketing and sales decisions
  • Support the founder with research projects and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute ideas—seriously, we want to hear them

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program (all majors welcome—we care about drive and curiosity)
  • Genuinely interested in sales, marketing, food industry, CPG, and/or the Jewish community
  • Eager to learn about TikTok, Instagram, DTC marketing, and retail strategy (or already know your way around them)
  • Excellent communicator—you can write a compelling email and hold a professional conversation
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work independently and juggle multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented and organized (startups move fast, but details matter)
  • Positive, proactive attitude—you look for solutions, not excuses

What We Offer

  • Real experience over busywork - You'll build your portfolio with work that actually launched
  • Direct mentorship from our founder - Learn from someone who's navigated every stage of building a CPG brand
  • Ownership and responsibility - Your contributions will directly impact our growth
  • Flexibility - Startup hours with understanding that you're a student first
  • Insider knowledge - See behind the curtain of how a modern food brand grows
  • A passionate, collaborative team - Work with people who genuinely care about what we're building

The Reality Check

This is a startup internship with startup compensation. We're offering a modest stipend because we're reinvesting in growth. What we can't offer in salary, we make up for in experience, mentorship, and responsibility. If you're optimizing for immediate pay, we're not the right fit. If you're optimizing for learning and building something real, let's talk.

Location: Columbus, Ohio (hybrid/flexible options available)
